Egg Harbor City is a stop on the Atlantic City Line that opened in 1989 and is located just south of the center of this small city. The stations’ single platform is just east of the grade crossing of Philadelphia Avenue with the crossing gates activated by Philadelphia-bound trains as they come to a stop in the station and staying down while trains complete their station work. This platform contains a single red shelter for waiting passengers with a TVM inside it with a single staircase and ramp down to parallel Atlantic Avenue.
The station being close to the town center doesn't mean the station has no parking, with 95 spaces owned by New Jersey Transit that are angled parking spaces along Atlantic Avenue, plus an additional lot (I think owned by the city but with no signs) that paved over an entire city block across Atlantic Avenue just south of Lincoln Park bounded by Cincinnati Avenue and Buffalo Avenue. These streets form T-intersections ending at the train tracks near either end of the short three car long platform.
