A passenger swipes into the Uptown & Queens Local platform
The staircase down from the Uptown platform entrance into Penn Station (and the other platforms)
The street elevator and streetstair
Sun shines down on a set of streetstairs into the station
The Subway is still closed after Superstorm Sandy, this entrance looks open
Another entrance looks open on the day of the subway being closed after Superstorm Sandy
Looking down a staircase to the closed subway and Long Island Railroad Station. The turnstiles are off
The dark token booth and tape across the entrance to closed Penn Station after Superstorm Sandy
Only Uptown A trains, running local have been restored, they are terminating in a lay-up track south of the station, the express platform entrance is closed although the turnstiles are on
The subway is free after Superstorm Sandy but only Uptown A service is avalible, enter through the gate
Handwritten Sheets (now a bit out of date since service to Brooklyn has been restored) in the token booth. No E (C added) Train
Hand Written Signs on the turnstiles that Lexington Avenue service to Brooklyn has been restored and to take the M34 bus at 34th/8th Ave to 34th/Lexington
An A train is terminating on the Express track although the most entrances to the platform are closed because the single relay track south of the station can't terminate trains fast enough (switch problems have happened earlier)
Another Gate closes off the express platform (I eventually found one open staircase to catch a train)
Sign on the north, narrow mezzanine for 35 St & 8 Av
At the southern end of the station, the local tracks are offset south, the end of the express platform is visible along with the fare control area on the local tracks. A layup track is just south of here
The LIRR West End Concourse (Tracks 13-21) or the upstairs to the Downtown & Brooklyn Platform
The main main entrance from Penn Station, upstairs to Uptown Local trains, down the ramp for everything else
