Brooke
Brooke is a VRE station containing the usual single side platform along the west track of the two-track line the VRE follows. Since VRE trains only operating in peak direction rush hours, other trains, like Amtrak and CSX freight trains may skip the station on either track regardless of their direction of travel depending upon if it's the AM or PM rush hour. The platform hasn't been extended and can only accommodate four cars. The platform has a blue fence to keep passengers off a steep hill drop off that is the start of the 1928 underpass for Andrew Chapel Road just north of the station.
The platform has a single one-car long canopy structure at its railway south (technically western) end along with a small shelter at its northern end where a mobile wheelchair lift was once stored, along with a wooden level crossing to the opposite track, just in case a train needs to stop there.
The platform's only exit is at its southern end where a short extra canopied area. This canopy covers the station's TVMs before leading to an exposed bridge across to the station's main upper parking lot. This parking lot contains an access road that loops to a lower elevation, providing the only vehicle entrance to the station's lower parking lot, there is also a sidewalk leading to some steps for more direct access. The station has a total of These lead to the station's only, sidewalk-less entrance from an intersection with Brooke Road.
