Lutherville is a Baltimore LightRail Link station a short distance away from a small shopping plaza. The station was the original location of a Park & Ride lot with 286 parking spaces for Express Buses that the Light Rail Link replaced when it opened in 1992. The station has a small bus loop as well just south of the platforms.

Trains stop at one of two side platforms for the two-track line with a fence running between them. Passenger amenities consist of a single black modern and curved canopy structure along the middle of the Southbound platform, which otherwise abuts some woods. There are pedestrian entrances at the southern ends of the platforms by the main station entrance, and a second pedestrian crossing connecting the middle of the platforms. The Northbound platform runs along a loading dock/alley at the back of the Lutherville Station shopping center. An big box store-type building that seems to be a mixture of shops (there is an Old Navy, and the location of a Sprit Halloween pop-up) but also looks like office space.
