Timonium (formerly Timonium Business Park, with Fairgrounds station originally named Timonium) is a light rail station that was built at the behest of nearby businesses. The station consists of two side platforms for the two track line, separated by a tall fence that begin 60 feet north of the grade-crossing of Business Park Drive and run north. All access to the platforms via sidewalks that continue basically as extensions of the light rail platforms to Business park Drive.
The two platforms are connected by a narrow pedestrian crossing at their southern ends and a slightly wider one in the middle of the platform. It is in the middle of the platform where the stations are amenities are with a single more modern glass shelter with windscreens surrounding a single bench on only three sides, there are also two TVMs in their own little shelters next to the main shelter. All these amenities are on the southbound platform with no amenities other than an exposed bench for northbound passengers.
