Univ. Center
Baltimore St.
Baltimore Arena (originally University Center/Baltimore Street station) is a light rail station along the west side of Howard Street, directly across from the named (as of 2025) CFG Bank Arena. This area (pre a 1980s rebuilding) was the Baltimore Civic Center and home to the Baltimore Bullets (now Washington Wizards) from 1963 to 1973.
The station contains two platforms for the light rail that begin at Baltimore Street and run south, more than half-way to the next grade-crossing of Lombard Street. The station has very few amenities, the southbound platform has no shelters, just two sheltered TVMs and is basically on the sidewalk. The northbound platform is narrow with a fence keeping waiting passengers from traffic and contains a single black shelter with a domed roof and a windscreen.
