Roebling is an intermediate River LINE station that services the unincorporated community of Roebling, a community named after the Roebling Steel Mill that was founded as a company town. The Roebling Steel Mill was founded by Charles Roebling, the son of John Roebling, the civil engineer who designed the pioneering Brooklyn Bridge. Today the station services both as a Park & Ride station as well as a destination station for the Roebling Museum located across the street from the station. This museum was built on the original site of the steel mill that still contains the iron and steel frameworks of former industrial equipment throughout its campus. A small town center is across the tracks from the station.

The current station is located just northeast of the grade-crossing of Hornberger Avenue with a single-side platform for the line that is single-tracked in this area. To access the station platform, a sidewalk leads from the grade-crossing, parallel to the train track, 250 feet up to the southern end of the station’s platform that has one canopy over the middle of the platform. This entrance at the southern end is basically level with the platform and is the only platform entrance.

The station has a 225 space park and ride lot, located in a small lot at a slightly higher elevation than the station platform, with a short pedestrian ramp connecting the parking lot to the station entrance. This parking lot has a main entrance from the driveway of the museum.

There is, finally, a narrower one-way driveway closer to the platform. This begins almost immediately at the intersection of the Roebling Museum driveway and Hornberger Avenue. This driveway first contains the station’s bus stop, this is followed by the platform entrance, followed by some parallel pick-up and drop-off only parking spaces. The driveway continues to ADA parking spaces, before looping around and ending at the Southeast corner of the parking lot, requiring cars and buses leaving the station to drive through the parking lot.
