Far Hills (not to be confused with Short Hills on the Lackawanna Main Line that Gladstone Branch trains also stop at) is a station on the Gladstone Branch and the location of the annual Far Hills Steeplechase which occurs once a year every October. This event sees extra train service on the Gladstone Branch out to Far Hills (although shuttle buses replace trains between Gladstone and Far Hills and for other non-racetrack bound Gladstone Branch trains, the issues with the fact the line is single tracked) for event attendees. The station itself has a 4 car low-level side platform that begins (eastern end) at the grade-crossing with US-202, right next to the intersection with Liberty Corner Road (CR-512). Just west of the station is the Far Hills Siding and this is where most trains have a scheduled meet with another train.

Along the platform is the station's Spanish Revival Station built in 1914. It was added to the national registry of historic places in 1984. The building is made of concrete with a Spanish tile roof. An old, rusting semaphore signal extends up from the roof. A few green tiles decorate the concrete walls. It was designed by staff architect R.J. Simpson. In 1978, the station was staffed on weekdays by an agent with a single-shift, today the station has been unstaffed by for a long-time (perhaps since 1981 when ticket agents at 40 rail stations were eliminated) and today houses Butlers Pantry Trackside, a breakfast and lunch deli. Along the siding track is a similar looking building that is smaller and completely boarded up. It is a former freight house and has a small high-level platform directly outside of it for freight loading and unloading. The station's parking lot is along both of these buildings running from a main entrance at US-202 and extending to Dumont Road at its other end.
