Rolling Road
Rolling Road is a suburban VRE Park & Ride station who's main destinations are suburban cul-de-sacs. Passengers can park in one of 390 parking spaces in a single parking lot located just off Burke Road with a single entrance into in the middle of the parking lot. The station is located a half-mile west of Rolling Road although there is what appears to be a multi-use path through the woods to make this connection. There is a nice wooden looking Rolling Road entrance sign by this parking lot entrance.
The train platform is on the opposite side of this parking lot, with the two-track line located on top of a grassy embankment. There is just one platform on the south side of the two-track line, with reverse peak trains bypassing the station on the opposite track.
Connecting the platform and parking lot are three staircases, one at the northern end of the platform, one in the middle, and one near the southern end of the platform. The southernmost staircase is slightly shorter and contains a switch backing ramp alongside it connecting parking lot to platform. The ramp entrance leads up to a small entrance area with a ticket validator (complete with a Boston T logo, the same design as the ones at Fairmont Line stations) and two TVMs (there was once a third TVM but it is missing). The station platform contains two sections of canopy structures each about a car length. One is attached to the covered entrance area, the other is at the northern end of the platform.
