Patapsco opened on August 20, 1992, as the southernmost of the light rail’s first three-stop extension from Camden Yards. The station is a Park & Ride and Bus Connection Station with 167 parking spaces. The Southbound platform is shared with four angled sawtooth bus stops, providing easy bus connections. The northbound platform is only accessible via three pedestrian crossings one at each end (accessible) and one wider one in the middle of the station. Amenities at the station (when I visited in 2009) consisted of two blue supports, holding-up white small canopy structures on the Northbound platform. The Southbound platform just has four black bus shelters shared with the bus stops with white domed roofs.

To leave the station, there is a single combined access at the Northwest corner of the triangular parking lot. This does have a sidewalk, it leads to Patapsco Avenue that the light rail crosses on a bridge one LRV’s length north of the station.
