I was feeling like a little Amtrak update closer to home. Two and half weeks ago I was driving back from Vermont alone after going up to visit some relatives and drop my brother off at college once more. I took the slow way back, stopping to photograph the little intermediate stops on the Vermonter along the place plus venturing to the railfan mecca called Palmer, MA where the Vermonter does its reverse switching move:
- Windsor–(page rebuilt with 24 photos), the stop served by a daily train with the lowest ridership
- Bellows Falls–(19 photos added of inside the depot)
- Brattleboro, VT–(14 photos, I will return again, caretaker, not in a uniform, didn’t appreciate my presence wondering through the little waiting room)
- Amherst, MA–(25 photos)
- Palmer–(40 photos), not a passenger station but I caught both the Lake Shore Limited rolling through and the Vermonter doing its reversing move
Enjoy!
