Huguenot is a simple two side platform for the two track line Staten Island Railway station surrounded by trees. The station has a small station house located along the east side of Huguenot Avenue nestled above the tracks, beyond the ends of each platform. Passengers pass through this station house in two small brick openings that lead down to the only staircase down to each platform. These staircases are both covered by modern tan colored canopies that connect to short (maybe half a car length) canopied sections of each platform. The platforms are otherwise exposed to the elements except for another short section of canopy on the St. George-bound platform only.
The station does have two Park N Rides (that’s what the SIR timetable calls them) just north of the station. The first one starts 300 feet north of the station, at the corner of Huegonot Avenue and Drumgolle Road just north of the station with 300 parking spots. There is a second, larger Park N Ride lot located across Dumgolle Road with additional spaces and easy access to the Korean War Veterans Parkway. These Park N Ride lots are used by commuters traveling by Station Island Railway train and Express bus.
