Croydon is an accessible SEPTA Trenton Line Station that was rebuilt from 2009 to 2011 into a modern fully wheelchair accessible station with nearly full-length high-level side platforms for the four track Northeast Corridor. There is still a low-level section of the platform with four wooden boarding boards at the northeast end of the platform so trains can stop if needed on the middle express tracks (although there is no level boarding or mobile wheelchair lifts to allow wheelchair passengers to get off trains stopping on the middle tracks). The low-level sections of platform don't even have step free access to the street, with steps down from the end of the high-level platform to low-level section of platform leading to additional steps down to the driveway along the Trenton-bound platform and the alley along the Philadelphia-bound platform.

The Philadelphia-bound platform is along a driveway just off of Bristol Pike (US-13). This driveway divides a tiny parking lot from the platform along with some businesses. The Trenton-bound platform is along the station's main parking lot (there are a total of 204 parking spaces at the station), with cars parked directly under the station platforms.

The high-level platforms each begin at the underpass of Cedar Avenue and run northeast ending at the low-level platforms. The Cedar Avenue end of the platforms are where the platforms' modern gable-roofed, green canopy structures are. One car is covered on the Trenton-bound platform, two on the Philadelphia-bound platform. Under these canopies are cream and glass block shelters. There is one on the Trenton-bound platform, two on the Philadelphia-bound platform. These shelters have open-air entrances but otherwise provide some shelter from wind and inclement weather. The canopies also cover the sidewalks at street level that include Parking Pay Stations, and SEPTA Key Tap On/Tap Off readers, and a connecting SEPTA bus stop on the Philadelphia-bound platform. One to two staircases and a ramp lead off each platform in this canopied area down to the alley/parking lot below. There is an additional ramp and additional staircases down to the alley/parking lot as each platform extends before ending at the low-level platform section.

The sidewalk of Cedar Avenue is the only connection between both platforms with steps directly up under the canopy to the sides of this overpass. For wheelchair accessibility, starting from the Trenton-bound platform and the main parking lot, a ramp leads down along the edge of the parking lot to the opposite end of the parking lot before the meeting up with the sidewalk of Cedar Street. This sidewalk passes a bus shelter and an additional bus stop for Route 128 (that also stops directly alongside the Philadelphia-bound platform) before continuing under the railroad (passing the steps directly up each platform). To reach the Philadelphia-bound platform there is a long four-switchbacks ramp up to the driveway/alley and entrance to the Philadelphia-bound platform.
