Wynnefield (named Wynnefield Avenue before the station was rebuilt) is the first intermediate stop on the Cynwyd Line, with the station just south of Wynnefield Avenue underpass. The station was fully rebuilt and received a new high-level platform between 2017 to 2019. The new two car platform built on the former and now abandoned northbound trackway. The station previously had a low-level side platform on the opposite side of the tracks in front of an Apartment Tower. A wooden block pedestrian crossing led across the tracks to a small parking lot with station entrance signs were on both sides of the tracks.

The current high-level platform contains a single cream and green glass block windscreen shelter (that is fully open to the platform). The shelter covers a single bench that also includes a button operated heat lamp. To leave the platform a ramp at the northern end (where ADA parking spaces are) and a staircase lead down to a small 20 space park & ride lot. A driveway with a sidewalk leads down to Wynnefield Avenue next to its underpass.
