Pennsauken–Route 73 is the original only station that serviced the Pennsauken Township, before the Pennsauken Transit Center Station opened as an infill station in 2013. The two-side platform, two track station (located on a long passing siding) is directly alongside a wetland along Pennsauken Creek. The makes the station one of the most scenic for platform views on the River LINE. These platforms are connected by a single grade-crossing at their southern ends. Here a gentle ramp, along with a staircase with a few flights of stairs leads up to the edge of the station’s 461 space Park & Ride. The entrance to the Park & Ride lot is at the opposite end of the parking lot leading out to River Road. This leads to an industrial area around the station, with no sidewalks, the namesake Route 73 intersects with River Road just north of the station, after crossing over Pennsauken Creek.
