Aquarium is one of two street running River LINE stations in Downtown Camden with two tracks and tow side platforms with tracks embedded in the right lanes of Delaware Avenue (honorarily named Jersey Joe Walcott Blvd), a four-lane two-way street. The two side platforms are basically just the sidewalk going up to platform level for the station, with much narrower sidewalks on street level at each side of the station. The stop is located mid-block, a bit north of the intersection of Federal Street. Along each platform are parking lots, with the stations namesake Adventure Aquarium located along the Delaware River Waterfront about 500 feet to the west of the station (across a parking lot and Riverside Drive).

The artwork at the station is fittingly of crabs and fish. The Adventure Aquarium is the only aquarium currently open in the Philadelphia region.
