Providence Park is a stop for the stadium that is now home to the Portland Timbers of the MLS. Like so many stadium stations it has had four different names since it opened in 1997 when it was called Civic Stadium. Starting in 2001 its been named after corporate sponsers (who I don't think are paying Tri-Met to rename the station). From 2001 to 2011 it was renamed PGE Park, folled by Jeld-Wen Field from 2011–2014. The name Providence Park (named a local healthcare system) has been the name of the station since 2014.

The Westbound station is on a private ROW between the intersection of 17 Avenue and Morrison Street before it curves onto eastbound 18 Avenue and joins the eastbound trains. The stop has two tracks and two side platforms to accommodate additional game day service. Only the north platform receives daily use and it has a simple gabled glass canopy with the TVMs beneath it. The second platform, not used in regular service, is just a tactile warning strip the standard, approximately six inches off the ground, and few signposts that have no been covered over with black signs with arrows directing passengers to the other two platforms. When the station was named PGE Park they said this followed by a blue dot and blank portion where Westbound or Eastbound is usually written.
