Kings Hill/SW Salmon is an island platform station for the two tracks located in the middle of 18 Avenue, right outside one of the gates to JELD-WEN field with entrances via short ramps at either end down to Taylor Street and SW Salmon Street. The platform itself is simple with a modern metal with a glass roofed canopy towards its southern end some TVMs and benches. For artwork the most notable piece is a bronze goose by Rip Caswell (Source).

The station opened as an infill station on August 31, 1997 and was closed on March 1, 2020 as part of a pilot program that has been made perminant to speed up MAX service as one of the least-used stations downtown since the station is just two blocks from Providence Park
