Sutherland St is located on a brief section of Commonwealth Avenue where there are local lanes northern raised above the through lanes due to a hill. The stop consists of two concrete platforms with wide yellow lines that begin at the intersection with Colborne Road and run to the intersection with Sutherland Road that ends only accessing the eastbound lanes of Commonwealth Avenue.
