V-Beam, 2000
By Christopher Sproat, Stainless steel, aluminum, lighting, signage, speakers, LED, and fan system

This installation is the unique modern lighting system with bare florescent bulbs providing a visually pleasing overhanging sculpture above the open, deep tunnel island platform that lacks intermediate columns. The installation also includes ventilation fans and has small LCD signs that provide train information on the 7 Line with hours of operation and the like. These LCD displays have been turned off and replaced with regular black static signs for service information.
