35th/Archer station is located on a four track ROW, with the southern two tracks used by the Orange Line and northern two part of CN's Railroad Line that is used by Metra's Heritage Corridor (just three peak direction trips) and Amtrak's Lincoln Service and Texas Eagle. South of this station the Orange Line curves south to follow a different Railroad leaving Metra and Amtrak. A fence separates the Rapid Transit and Main Line tracks. The station has a staircase, a staircase with an up escalator and elevator that lead down from the middle of the platform to an entrance area with concrete walls. The consession is a Ducken Donuts. This leads to the turnstiles (with the customer assistant booth right alongside them) and out to a station building on the SE side of the Railway ROW. This leads to a large bus loop that extends from the NW corner of Leavitt Street and Archer Avenue (parallel to the station) This bus loop has a covered canopy that extends from the SW entrance from the station a short ways to another wide canopy that extends across the bus loop to cover 7 bus bays. These service (from closest to the station) the 62NB,62SB, 50, 35EB, 35WB, 39E, and 39W farthest away. The station has a small 69 space park and ride lot across Archer from the Station that extends to 35th Street at its opposite end. 35th Street doesn't directly serve the bus loop.
