Grand/Cicero is a modern Milwakee West Line Station which opened on December 11, 2006 as a new station to combine the former Cragin and Hermosa Stations which were closed that same day. This station is along a busy commercial corridor Cicero Avenue, unlike the former stations that were in small neighborhoods. Like the stations Grand/Cicero replaced the station only recieves service during weekdays, primarily during rush hours with limited service. The North Central Service follows the Milwaukee West Line out of Chicago but skips this station.
The stop has two modern side platforms for the three track line. The Outbound platform has a few ground-level boarding areas so a train can stop on the middle track but there are no pedestrian crossings between the platfroms. Just south of the Inbound platform is a track for the Chicago Belt Railroad that switches off the Milwaukee West Main Line in the facinity of the station. Each platform has two orange-cream brick with silver gabled roof shelter structures, the larger ones are towards the eastern ends of the platforms and surrounds an elevator and staircase down to the east side of Cicero Road. Just staircases lead up to the platforms from the west side of Cicero Road.
