Granville is one of two underground SkyTrain Expo Line Stations that are in a former tall but single tracked railroad tunnel. This gives the two stations inside it a stacked design with Eastbound trains beneath Westbound ones because the tall tunnel was split into two levels. Access to this station is via two long separate tubes of three escalators each that lead from the basements of different downtown buildings with numerous entrances into the station. There are quite a few entrances at street level that are signed for this station. An underground transfer is accessible through the building basements to the Canada Line at Vancouver City Centre.
