32 Street & Commercial is a station on the Orange Line as it curves off of Commercial Street to begin joining the former private ROW used originally by the La Mesa Branch of the San Diego and Arizona Eastern Railway. It has a quite unusual layout with the station running from the grade crossing of 32 Street and Commercial Street to an overpass of Imperial Avenue. The Downtown-bound platform has the standard side platform. Gillespie Field-bound trains stop on a semi-island platform so doors open to the left. At the northern end of the platform a grade crossing leads across it to the proper right side for wheelchair boarding (and the little square for them to wait) and then to a ramp down to Imperial Avenue.
