Kings Highway is a standard trenched Sea Beach Line Station with two side platforms for the four-tracked line tucked beneath the backyards that encroach on the subway's open-cut. Both of these platforms have a series blue-green columns along the platform edge and peeling painted cream concrete holding up the platforms ceilings/canopies.
The station has two entrances one at either end. At the southern end of the station is the entrance from Highlawn Avenue, via a station house along the Northside of the street. There are only High-Turnstiles and one door into from the street. A portion of the station house has been turned into non-public usage with cinderblock walls enclosing a room. To reach the paltform door slead out to a passageway that is beyond the ends of each paltform and leads two staircases that requre turning 180 degrees to each the very ends of each platform.
The station house on the north side of Kings Highway has the full time token booth at the northern end of the station. As of 2009, the station house is in good shape and has even intact windows. Regular turnstiles are closer to the Manhattan-bound side of the station house, two High Exit turnstiles are along Coney Island-bound side with the token booth inbetween. Doors lead out to a small shared passageway that soon splits into two leading to single staircase down to each of the platforms at their extreme northern ends.
