39 Avenue-Dutch Kills (as the platform signs say since it reopened after its 2019 renovation), 39 Avenue-Beebe Avenue (as the station was named before it's renovation) is a modernized elevated BMT Astoria Line Station that was closed in both-directions from July 2, 2018 through January 24, 2019 under the Enhanced Station Initiative (also known as the Cuomo's Sexy Station initiative). The station has two side platforms for the 3 track line. Each of these platforms are canopied for about half their lengths in their midsections before leading out to mesh walls. The station's columns are painted a modern grey, and both platforms have modern LCD screens displaying service information, advisories and advertising.
In the middle of each platform two staircases lead down to a small mezzanine area with a free cross-under, there are two distinct banks of turnstiles close to each set of staircases, with a token booth in the middle of the mezzanine between them. Streetstairs lead out to the NW and SE corners of 39 Avenue and 31 Street.
