In this small update (my goal is to get my life in order to try and update the website at least weekly) again, I had a chance to process the Hammond-Whiting–(59 Photos) station that I got on my one real trip into Chicago just to bicycle alone back in June and not be social. I’ve taken the South Shore Line into Chicago a number of other times, including a couple other trips with my bike, but this was really the only pure rail fan trip I got to this summer. I got this station by getting off at the Hammond South Shore Line Station, and then riding into Chicago (riding along the Metra South Chicago branch and getting it’s stations as well). It’s truly one of the most bizarre Amtrak stations, the page has a full history.
