The Terminal 2 station is very similar to the other two domestic terminal stations. It has a single island platform, located alongside the domestic garage across from the terminal. From open air island platform two elevators, one at each end of the platform, along with a staircase combined with two escalators lead down to a lower mezzanine level.

This mezzanine level provides access to the domestic parking garage on one side and on the opposite side to a short pedestrian bridge that has moving walkways along It to make the journey easier. This pedestrian bridge leads into the uppermost story of the modern Terminal 2 with three elevators, and a bank of escalators and staircases lead down to the ticketing level below along with the baggage claim on the lowest level.

Terminal 2 opened in 2011 although I couldn’t find any information if the AirTrain station was ever closed during this rebuilding. This terminal opened on the footprint of the Central Terminal that was used as the main International Terminal until that terminal was replaced by the new International Terminal, that opened in December 2000 (which the AirTrain and BART extension were designed to be an integral part of). The station is the most northern AirTrain station on the line as it forms a horseshoe going around 3 of the 4 sides of the Domestic Parking Garage.
