Well, this afternoon I decided it was about time to take a break from my thesis (topic is transit related: assessing the Environmental Impact of I-70 intermountain Corridor Expansion) and make a well needed, two year late update to my website, finally finishing the BMT Eastern Division with the northern end of the M train beyond Myrtle Avenue, which is one of the most interesting dilapidated sections of the subway. The line follows the former ROW of the Dummy Steam Lutheran Cemetery Line, it was raised to an el but still doesn’t the existing street grid. The terminus was rebuilt in the 1980s after a fire and has an equally unusual design, the rest of the line has that still dilapidated charm:

Enjoy!
