Thought I would give this post a slightly confusing title for a decent reason. These 4 stations are the only stations still in operation (well Bay Street replaced the original Montclair Terminal in 1981 that still exists but your webmaster didn’t know about on his last trip there and needs to return) on the Montclair Branch of the Lackawanna Railroad that were grade separated in 1912 and electrified in 1930. Until 1991 there was also the Ampere Station. In 2002 the Montclair Branch was connected with the ex-Greenwood Lake and Later Eire Railroad forming the Montclair-Boonton Line and no longer requiring this branch to operate seperately. All weekend service is only as far as Bay Street so on weekends I consider the Montclair Branch still operating.
