Well with the holiday weekend giving me less time to work on the site I only have had a chance to write about the tale of three Amtrak Stations over the course of its history with the current one by far the worse. All three are still in existance and there waiting rooms open to the public so on my visit in February I ventured inside all 3:
- Union Pacific-(39 photos)-Used from 1978 to 1986
- Rio Grande & Western (1986-1999)–(40 photos)
- Present AmShack–(6 photos added plus a full history of Amtrak service in Salt Lake City)
- Bonus: Bringham City’s Station–(13 photos), driving by I had to stop the car and run out for photos. It is the possible future terminus of the FrontRunner, also an Amtrak station on the Pioneer from 1977 to 1981
Enjoy! I’m taking a break from Southern California to get UTA additions on board.
