The 1994 Northridge Earthquake was devastating to L.A. (and in no way am I trying to downplay that) but one unintended consequence is it got the Antelope Valley line extended into that valley within two-weeks with these four stations being built at lightning speeds (extending the then Santa Clarita Line north from Santa Clarita, ten years ahead of schedule). Here are those four emergency stations, originally built by FEMA (one that was opened only for six months, closed and a stop opened a few miles south ten years later):
- Lancaster–(37 photos)
- Palmdale–(40 photos)
- Vincent Grade/Action, the fake western station!-(74 photos)
- Via Princessa–(59 photos)
Enjoy! (I will get back to the Surf liner, soon but wanted to work the kinks out with Metrolink Stations minus Amtrak before building the webpages for them combined)
