The reason I haven’t made any uploads in the past week was because I was working on this mammoth one with tons of photos including lots of the 7 different Arts For Transit installations in the busy mega-complex. Here are the 7 different sections required to do the Times Square-42 Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal in Full:
- Shuttle Platforms–(32 photos)-Where the station all began 107 years ago!
- The Main Upper Mezzanine beneath Times Square–(56 photo of this area of the station and over 50 of the 4 different pieces of artwork) This is the heart of the station and the mezzanine forms a full square loop beneath 42 Street, 7 Avenue, 41 Street, and Broadway
- The BMT Broadway Line N,Q,R–(19 photos)
- IRT 7 Avenue Line 1,2,3–(13 photos)
- 7 IRT Flushing Line Platform–(12 photos)
- The Passageway beneath 41st Street to 8 Avenue–(16 photos of the passageway and 45 of the artwork)
- The IND 8 Avenue: 42 Street-PBAT Station–(55 photos of the station and 8 of the artwork)
Enjoy! This huge update

It amused me no end during the World Cup that even American broadcasters seemed to think vuvuzelas were some sort of South African invention, when, had they visited Times Square station anytime in the year or two previous, they would have seen these mosaics of the New Year’s revelers with–what? Vuvuzelas! The WORD is a South African invention, not the horn itself, which I even remember as a child in the early days of Shea Stadium– in a few years it will be enough just to remember Shea!
