Upload: The Central Corridor of Denver’s Light Rail

Well one of my goals in the next few months before I probably leave Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West is to get off of the limited rail based transit in the region up on the web. Most of Denver I’ve photographed over my almost four years here, although next week it is where I’ll finish off some stations that could be photographed a bit more and begin (due to Greyhound skipping Colorado Springs) a spring break journey to the New Mexico Rail Runner, Phoenix, Tucson, (and San Diego and Los Angeles) to finish off the rail based transit systems in the region (yes I should ideally also be going to Vegas to finish photographing their light rail. It just did not seem feasible for this this trip, at least I have some photos of it). I’m planning to update this blog extensively during my travels (I’ll actually be bringing my computer this time) so stay tuned to this blog for news of where my adventures are taking me.

Anyway I finally also figured out the graphics for Denver navigation although I haven’t decided how I’ll modify them for the newer extensions when the time comes who’s real signage follow a slightly different configuration. I haven’t updated all of the existing stations in that section yet to the current format but in this update I release the rest of the stations on the Central Corridor, the original modern Light Rail and Rail based transit system in the entire Rocky Mountain Region! It opened with just 11 SD-100 train cars. The stops are all nice and simple, the northern ones on the verge of being a streetcar in the lack of station furniture although the trains run in their own diamond lanes that even make it into the Colorado Drivers Manual. Without further ado here are the stations:
