The Rose Quarter Transit Center station is located a short ways beyond the Steel Bridge after the Yellow Line has curved north to make its own stop for the area at Interstate/Rose Quarter. The transit center's bus loop is between the two stops The station has a unique three track layout and is located entirely beneath I-5's overpass with this providing the only protection for the three platforms. The layout is side platform-Eastbound track (trains open their doors on both sides)-Island platform-another Eastbound track (rarely used)-Westbound track-side platform. The only amenities on the platforms are sign posts and TVMs. Around the station are some maintenance facilities and a track that splits into two before entering a small building closed off by garage like doors, this is where the Portland Vintage Trolleys (that are used on most Sundays along the transit mall service) are stored.
