PSU Urban Center/SW 5th & Mill was the original terrminus of MAX Green and Yellow Lines, on August 30, 2009 although trains continued south of the station to reverse using a turn around loop 4 blocks south just south of Jackson Street. The portion of the line in passenger service was extended 3 blocks farther south to PSU South/SW 5th & Jackson on September 2, 2012 after the PSU construction in the area finished. Today's station is along the east side of SW 5th Avenue with a larger (than other stations on the mall) glass canopy covering just a bench, in preparation of the line eventual expansion of the Orange Line to Milwaukie. The station originally didn't have TVMs when it opened since it only functioned as a terminus with boarding at the station prohibited. TVMs were installed by the lines extension south in 2012. The stop runs between Mill and Montgomery Streets. The stop is across from the SW 5th & Montgomery stop and tracks of the southbound Portland Streetcar (NS Line and B Loop).
