New York City Architectural Artifacts from the Collection of the Brooklyn Museum, 2004
Terra cotta artifacts and glass mosaic on mezzanine and stairway walls
The Arts For Transit installation at Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum I would say is one of its crown jewels and is only on the mezzanine wall facing fare control outside of fare control. It consists of actual artifacts of the Brooklyn Museum's City of New York Collection of various architectural details that were removed from New York City buildings before they were demolished. It really brings the experience of the museum into the station, albeit on a much lesser scale than the massive installation at 81 Street-Museum of Natural History.
