New York Subway Station, 1994,
Handmade by the artist over the corse of the year, Materials: glass, marble, granite, slate, brick, ceramic tile
By Edith Kramer

This multi-media collage is located on the intermediate landing of the staircase down to the uptown platform and when installed in 1991 it was meant to be temperary but has never been removed and is still there 20 years later. It reporesents Union Square on the Lexington Avenue line although the name doesn't say this but the curving platforms, 14 written on columns and mezzanine visible say so.
