Pingree Road is a Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line station located in the City of Crystal Lake (1.5 miles south of the namesake station) and opened on September 7, 2005. The stop consists of two side platforms for the two track line that begin a short ways northwest of the Pingree Road. The platforms are located on a raised berm and are connected by a pedestrian tunnel with ramps and stairs on each platform. The areas surrounding the tunnel and staircases are clad in brick and stonework, adding some nice architectural detail. The Inbound platform contains a large brick and stone Prairie-style station house with benches and a morning coffee stand, the outbound platform has no amenities. Access to the station is primarily through a parking lot accessed from Congress Parkway on the outbound side of the platform, a secondary sidewalk leads around some houses in a subdivision and to Oak Hallow Road
