Burr Oak is a station on the single-tracked Metra Blue Island Line. The stop consists of a single wooden high-level platform that runs between the diagonal grade-crossing of Winchester Avenue at the SW end, and the diagonal grade-crossing through the intersection of 127th Street and Lincoln Street. Today (according to sattilite images) the wooden platform has been rebuilt with wooden staircases providing access to each end of the platform. When I visited back in 2012, all access to the station was via a staircase (alongside a closed boarded over ramp) into a small station house where AFC equipment once was with a ticket vending machine, along with a few benches. A small on platform wooden shelter towards the NE end of the platform has some additional built-in beches. The sides of the platform are covered in chain-linked fence. A small 60 space triangular parking lot is across from the platform and takes up the area to the intersection of 127th Street and Winchester Avenue.
