Western on the Forest Park Branch (not to be confused with Western on the O'Hare branch) is a Blue Line Station located in the median of the Eisenhower Expressway. The station has the standard island platform with a canopy covering its entire length. There is a single open entrance at the eastern end of the platform. Here a gradual ramp with plexiglass walls and railings leads up to a small station house with just two turnstiles inside with yellow tiled walls and glass doors out to the west side of Western Avenue. The stop is the only one on the Eisenhower Expressway that has always lacked a secondary entrance.
