Cicero is a Blue Line Station located in the median of the Eisenhower Expressway. The station has the standard island platform with a canopy covering its entire length. There is a single open entrance at the eastern end of the platform. Here a gradual ramp with plexiglass walls and railings leads up to a small station house with blue tiled walls and glass doors out to the west side of Cicero Avenue. There was once another entrance accessed by another long gradual ramp to a similar station house with blue tiled walls. This one is along a footbridge across the Eisenhower expressway that is still open and allows pedestrians to connect between two disjointed portions of Lavergne Avenue (closed since 1977). This closed entrance has a cream colored plywood wall with a door at track level (with panels covering the first few support beams of the ramp) before the ramp continues without any fencing and reaches the former station house with a similar cream colored plywood wall blocking the entrance.
