Royal Oak is a simple, original SkyTrain Station with an island platform for the two-track line. This platform is canopied for about half of its length with green metal guiders holding the roof up. On the exposed portion small white lampposts radiate from the center of the platform. Access to the street below is via a staircase and elevator at the eastern end of the platform that lead down to a lobby area currently under construction to make its design compliant with adding fare gates. This is right near the NE corner of Beresford Street and Royal Oak Avenue.
