Coast Highway Station is a single track station with a platform on the north side of the northern track of the wye as the Sprinter ROW joins the former ATSF main line used by Amtrak and Coaster for the final mile (on its own parallel track with a switch for the overnight freight service) north into the Oceanside Transit Center. The south track of the wye is used only by those overnight freights. The station platform has the standard three separate blue canopies covering benches and entrances up steps (and also a ramp) to a parking lot between the station and Godfrey Street and a walkway from the end of the platform to the grade crossing with the South Coast Highway just east of the station.
