The large and only San Diego Trolley Yard is in clear view of the 12th & Imperial Transit Center as well as other nearby streets and a public pedestrian overpass. PETCO Park's Upper Deck Concourse also allows quite nice views of it. The MTS headquarters are also located nearby the station. There is a smaller freight yard directly adjacent to it, along with storage tracks used by Coaster Trains on midday layovers.
