City College was an opening day station on the San Diego Trolley in 1981 it has definitely been modified since then. The stop is presently on a short stretch (just for the station) of private ROW between two modern triangular buildings where trolleys curve from the south to the west to continue through downtown. The station runs between where trolleys leave C Street after crossing 11th Avenue at the NW end, and at the SE end where trains curve to follow Park Blvd (12th Avenue) crossing over Broadway to that street. The station's platforms have no shelters of there own, just overhangs from the buildings along the platforms. There are even shops and businesses along the platforms. An interim station will be used from September thru December 2012 along C Street between 10 and 11 Avenues so the station can be rebuilt for low-floor trolley operations.
