Westwood/Rancho Park is an Expo line station located at grade-level with a single island platform for the two-track line. This platform has a single entrance from the middle of the eastern end of the grade-crossing with Westwood Blvd, here there is a small area at ground-level where the station's TVMs are that leads to a ramp up to the platform with the tap card readers, the station is open-access with no turnstiles. On the platform is the usual teal Expo line canopy structure. One unique feature is that the fencing between the tracks and the surrounding area, including the Exposition Corridor bike path to the south is painted a dark green color, not the usual lighter Expo teal. The Rancho Park in the station name comes from the neighborhood the station is in.

Artwork: Panoramas by Abel Alejandre are ten panels along the station platform with black and white depictions of the legs and feet of travelers.
