A shovel for the groundbreaking for the Tanana River Bridge Project, the first phase of expanding the railroad 80 miles southeast to Delta Junction, a three-year effort that was never completed. It is now a very expensive and Alaska's Longest bridge entirely used by ATV vehicles in the middle of an army base as the railroad waits to get more funding for the $800 million extension to Delta Junction (the start of a dream to connect the Alaska Railroad with the lower-48).
