Roy is a FrontRunner Station just south of Ogden in an area surrounded by subdivisions with no decent sidewalk access. The station has one legal entrance a short ways east of the grade crossing with W 4000 S. This access road, called Sandridge Drive, begins with a sidewalk at its entrance although W 4000 S doesn't have one. It weaves its way down to an upper parking lot, with a total of 502 parking spaces plus additional room to expand into. A bus loop goes directly down a slope to just across from the platform. It serves two bus routes. In this sloped area is a grassy intermediate field separating the parking lot from platform. Here is the station's artwork consisting of shovels representing the digging required to reach the aquifer to found this formerly agricultural community. Steps from the parking lot and ramps down from the bus loop lead to platform entrances areas at either end. Here is a TVM and a pedestrian grade crossing across one track lead to the simple island platform between two tracks (although in normal operations only the outside track is ever used since the station isn't a scheduled time meet). The platform has the standard design of about half-high level for about three cars at its northern end. Here are two modern shelters for waiting passengers with blue roofs before it slopes down and becomes low-level for the rest of its length.
