artwork McDowell/Central Ave - Cultural District is a standard street median light rail station consisting of an island platform in the median of Central Avenue just south of the intersection with McDowell Road where the main entrance is. The southern end of the station leads to a spilt crosswalk intersection near Willetta Street. The stop has the standard three canopies providing shade along with the water fountain; an interesting feature is the small slabs that are part of the canopy structure are brown instead of white. It has red railings at the entrances along with the poles holding up the catenary system.
Public Art Program: A Thousand Points of Reference by Michael A. Maglich. It consists of little art projects all around the station.
